i made soup yesterday in my crock pot?
i turned it down to warm after we ate (there's a lot left). how long can i leave it on warm? i only have low, med, high and warm so i don't know the exact temp. but it's hot. it has no dairy or meat, if that helps. it's root soup. potatoes, beets, onions, carrots etc.
i'd like to eat it for the next few days. can i leave it on or should i get it into the fridge and ladle it out as necessary?
Your soup needs to stay at above 140 degrees F in order to stay safe for eating. Or, it needs to stay at below 40 degrees F in order to stay safe.
I would put it in the fridge and heat it up in the microwave when it's wanted.
BTW, is sounds really good. I don't know where you are, but here, we've had some "soup" weather lately.
