Metal Framed Glasses Vs. Plastic Framed Glasses
First of all, it comes to the weight of the eyeglasses. Except for the material of the lens themselves, the whole weight of the pair of glasses depends on the frames. Well, maybe in most people's opinion, those frames made of metal must be much heavier than those plastic ones.
However, that usually is not the fact. It is simply because generally speaking, the eyeglasses made of plastic are in most cases much bigger in bulk than those metal ones. And as a result of that, a relatively large number of the plastic glasses are heavier than the metal ones. Since we know the heavier the glasses are, the more pressure there will be on our noses. As what we want is the less pressure, the better, in this way, the thin and fine metal ones are more satisfactory for us.
Then, it is the daily care of the two kinds of frames. Judging from this aspect, the plastic ones have more advantages. That is because of the origin characters of the two different materials. As we all know, metal is more easily to get ruined or rusted than plastic, so in wet days especially the hot summer, you may have find out some rust in the outside of your metal frames where gets touch with your skin that is sweat. From this point of view, plastic ones are much better than metal ones since they do not have the rust problems.
The last matter is the whole design of the glasses. Metal frames may seem much gentler while those plastic ones are more fashionable and modern. Of course, different people have different tastes and people may prefer different kinds of materials. We may also choose different materials according to different seasons. Well, this actually depends on your needs.
Now, just come back to our topic about the choice between metal and plastic frames. In a word, it just depends on your need and how the frames look like on your face. Both of the two frames have their advantages and disadvantages and maybe we could prepare both of them and have a change when necessary.

How can I get a photo unstuck from glass from a picture frame, without damaging it?
I have a favorite photo of my husband and I when we first got married. I accidentally spilled some water on the frame and it got under the glass. The photo is now stuck to the glass and I want to get it unstuck without damaging it. Any help would be great. Thanks.
This MAY work. I would first scan the photo under glass to have a back-up.
Remove the glass and photo from the frame. (Scan). Then find a basin or container larger than it and fill with tepid (not hot) water. Let soak for five minutes and see if the photo does not float off the glass. As soon as it does put it face up on a paper towel. Pat quickly and lightly so the fibres from the towel don't become attached to the gelatinous surface of the photograph.
This is not without risk. However, many photos are fixed in wet solutions and re-wetting them often does no harm.
