How to select the dishes every day?

Cooking is my hobby and I like to experiment with different panels and presentations. Children are now all teenagers – mostly past falling and breaking dishes. So I decided to replace the dishes every day with plain white, rolling saddle, fancy restaurant-style china. I'm definitely going to buy plates and dishes. I am undecided on salad plates, dessert plates, bread plates, soup bowls, cups of soup, and chargers. I can not buy all of them – they are not fit in my closet! If I buy diapers bowls, can substitute soup bowls and salad plates? Somewhere I read that you could use glass dessert plates instead of China to create interest / variety. Good idea or bad? What is the best solution for me? I know the answer: "Depends on what you need." However, no one can give advice or point me an on-line reference or text that can answer "How to select dishes every day for better lifestyle fit what?" Thanks!

you can go to the dollar family or a cheap place to buy dishes so that they sometimes have some nice things and used to cost an arm and a leg and then you can get your shit elsewhere luxury
