Any advice on how to properly clean antique wood furniture?
I recently inherited a beautiful old "Larkin Co." secretary desk in my husbands grandmother. It is oak and has years to build it. Not always be the owner of something like this I do not use anything. And I do not want damage. So if anyone out there could give me some tips on a good reliable product I would appreciate! Thanks for your time
I use Murphy's Oil Soap to clean my Fornby antiques or fine furniture cleaner. Fornby will break the furniture wax buildup that has accumulated and removed Murph'y dirt and grime. They hydrate me my Scotts Liquid Gold wood leaving it completely absorbed by the wood before putting anything on the surface. Scotts not only gives a glow nice, but cleans residual dirt from the pores of the wood also. I live in SoCal it's really an arid desert climate, so all my forest moisturize at least 2 times a year.
